Dr. David I. Turok, M.D., is a board certified, fellowship trained ophthalmologist specializing in cosmetic reconstructive ophthalmic plastic surgery, as well as neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Turok is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute- Albany Medical College’s honor program having graduated with both his B.S. in Biology and M.D. degrees. He then completed full residencies in both Neurology and Ophthalmology and is board certified in both fields.
Dr. Turok completed fellow ships in cosmetic and reconstructive ophthalmic plastic surgery at Child’s Hospital in Albany, New York, and in Clinical and Research Neuro-surgery at the Albany Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Turok is a member of numerous cosmetic surgery and laser societies as well as ophthalmic and neuro-ophthalmic societies. Author of several journal publications, Dr. Turok lectures extensively on the cosmetic use of lasers and is medical director of Quasar Medical, a Chicago based laser Company. Dr. Turok instructs other physicians including dermatologists and plastic and plastic surgeons in the sage use of the latest laser technology. Dr. Turok uses Botox and Restylane for facial rejuvenation. His clinical interests include eyelid surgery, tearing disorders, thyroid eye disease, and neuro-ophthalmology.
Dr. Turok is married, and he and his wife are the proud parents of four daughters. In his leisure time, Dr. Turok enjoys traveling and is a proficient pianist.

Dr. Hugo Steinitz, M.D. has extensive experience in the field of Ophthalmology. He obtained his undergraduate education from Indiana University and his M.D. from the University Health Science / Chicago Medical School. He performed his residency in ophthalmology at the McPherson Eye and Ear Hospital in Durham, North Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Steinitz completed a fellowship practice in pediatric ophthalmology at the University of Sydney in Australia. He then went to work in both private practice and at the Ophthalmology Section of the Veterans Administration Hospital in North Chicago, Illinois before joining Malik Eye Institute. Dr. Steinitz is certified by The American Board Of Ophthalmology and welcomes patients of all ages, and is also a fellow of The American Academy Of Ophthalmology and the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology. His clinical interests include glaucoma, diabetic eye care, eye emergencies, infections and post operative care of patients.
